Apple MacBook Pro 13.3"

Finally a 13" MacBook Pro.

Apple has decided to upgrade their recently redesigned 13" "unibody" Macbooks to fit into their Macbook pro line.

The new features include Firewire for use by DV professionals, an SD card slot for photographers, most importantly for everyone else, a new lithium polymer battery that lasts seven hours on a single charge. Obviously that seven hours was achieved when in a laboratory, doing nothing, with all features turned off, but that means you should get three to four hours of real wold use, which is fantastic.

Notable features include a 2.26 GHZ Core 2 Duo CPU, DDR3 RAM, an LED backlit display, and an NVIDIA GeForce 9400m graphics chip.

This of course comes in the carefully CNC milled aluminum chassis that looks more like a work of art than it does a piece of electronic equipment. When people pick up the "unibody" Macbooks, they always comment on how solid they feel, realizing how flimsy most all other laptops are.

The most surprising part of this product is that a product made with such excess in its design is sold for $1,200. Maybe its a sign of the times, but who cares, it is a steal.
