• South by Southwest 2007 took place last week. Apparently, it was a lot of talk, but little actually being shown.
• If you've never been to Austin, TX, go to County Line BBQ. It is the best BBQ in Austin!
• TED 2007 recently took place. Al Gore spoke there in 2006.
• A TED Global conference will be taking place in Tanzania in June 2007.
• The rage right now is Twittervision in the Twitter community. It is a mashup between Google Maps and Twitter updates.
• According to Robert, Unconferences have a very tribal feeling with a deep sense of community.
• There was a great BarCamp going on at SXSW with very informative talks. They had free burritos!
• Ze Frank has retired. The TWiTs think he'll be back soon.
• Viacom is suing YouTube for $1 billion. Jim Louderback is supporting this lawsuit. Mark Cuban hopes this isn't just a marketing ploy. In fact, CBS (which is owned by Viacom) is attributing rises in ratings to YouTube.
• Bittorrent is selling movies and videos legally now.
• Don't let the RIAA silence your favorite Internet radio station! Save Our Internet Radio.
• Is Internet Radio on Death Row?
• CeBIT recently happened. There, Commodore announced that it was back in action with gaming PCs.
• SanDisk introduced a 32gb flash-based notebook hard drive.
• Techcrunch is to switch chief executive officers.
• Both Robert Scoble and Jason Calacanis are trying to befriend all of their followers on Twitter.
• The open source community is working on integrating Microsoft's "Windows CardSpace and OpenID.
• Verizon and Vonage are in a patent showdown in which they claim that Vonage stole some patents from them and that is one of the reasons why Verizon is losing customers.
