Litepanels Micro

Litepanels Micros are for people who film on the go, and know whats shaking when it comes to lighting.

As you know, TWiT live video content is produced in an office inside of a very old home in Petaluma California. One of the unique challenges we faced when building the studio for our shows, is that we had to light the room professionally, yet make no permanent changes to the home itself. This of course left out traditional studio lighting, as it would require new power lines run, a loud air conditioner to counter the heat they generate, and heavy duty mounts screwed into the home to hang them. Clearly this would not work.

With the help of Pat Grosswendt form Litepanels, went all-LED with our lighting in our operation. Litepanels lights generate little heat, can adjust their light output, do not flicker, are more durable than bulb lights, do not weigh much, consume little power, easily to fit into difficult spaces, and come in various sizes.

The Micro is the perfect size for the hobbyist user who has a hand held video camera and wants to take the look of their work to the next level. Just mount a Litepanels Micro on top of the camera, turn it on, and shoot like the pros. You can also use it on a nice SLR still camera if you want to go with a continuous light source rather than a flash.

We love these lights!
