iOS Pick: Plants vs. Zombies Heroes
Leo Laporte's app cap on iOS Today 317 is Plants Vs. Zombies Heroes. As you may already know, in the traditional Plants Vs. Zombies game, the objective is to attack the zombies that are approaching using plants that have various abilities. This latest game is more of a card game where you'll collect cards of plant and zombie 'heroes.'
There are 20 unique heroes to discover. You'll be able to unlock their super powers and choose favorites based on their signature styles and abilities. You'll devise strategies when selecting cards compatible with your hero, and construct winning card decks using the Deck Builder.
Once you've made up your team, you'll be able to try out the deck and take on other players or challenge friends in real-time matches. You can either practice tactics in a more casual multiplayer battle or enter competitive ranked play and compete with the best players in the world.
There are also adventures through the PvZ Heroes universe that you can embark on. Defeat challenging bosses and unlock fresh characters and new rewards.
