Picks: Hacker News and Transfer.sh

Leo Laporte's pick of the week on MacBreak Weekly 499 is Hacker News. This is essentially Product Hunt for geeks. It's Y Combinator's news feed, and there's usually always new and weirdly geeky on it. For instance, someone wrote a Javascript autocomplete from Stack Overflow so you no longer have to copy and paste code.

One thing that Leo found on Hacker News that he really finds useful is transfer.sh. This is a free command line utility that allows you to share files. They're offering free storage for files up to 10 GB. You just upload the file, you'll get a unique URL that you can share with anybody and the file will stay there for 2 weeks. There's even source code for it on Github.
