Tip: Use Cloud Cover to Take Better Pictures

Photographer Chris Marquardt has a tip on what lighting to look for outdoors when taking photos. Cameras can only cover a certain range of brightness, which is called dynamic range, and its smaller than what our eyes can see. You'll find yourself having to make a choice between the bright or dark subject looking best. If you go outside when the sun is covered by clouds, however, it'll be easier for the camera to get a better shot. Cloudy days reduce the contrast in the scene, allowing the camera to get more coverage and capture more details.
