Tip: Get Rid of Microsoft Ads in File Explorer

On Windows Weekly 508, Paul Thurrott had a tip for getting rid of Microsoft's advertising in Explorer windows. Starting with the Creative update, Microsoft began popping up ads from File Explorer in Windows 10 prompting users to upgrade to a paid Office 365 subscription.

Microsoft does let you turn this off in settings, though. Just go into "Folder Options," then click the "View" tab, and in "Advanced Settings" look for "Show sync provider notifications" and uncheck that box.
