Padre and Jason Howell take a look at some of the basic features of a Synology Network Attached Storage box in the first of several episodes about expanding your networking horizons. Pre-Req:
* You need to have your "QuickConnect ID" enabled
* You will be using a local user account to connect your device to the server, so make sure you have an account setup on the NAS that you're willing to let your phone use.
 
Installing Server:
1. Open Package Center
2. Search for and Install Moments
    -- It will automatically install several packages including "Synology Application Service, Search, Drive, etc)
 
Installing Client:
* Availible for both Android and iOS
1. Install Client
2. Run Client and enter in the following information:
    - QuickConnect ID of your NAS (You CAN enter the IP address, but then connectivity might be limited)
    - Account (This is an account ON THE NAS!)
    - Password (of the account on the NAS)
    - HTTPS (OF COURSE! -- Slower, but better to be safe)
 
 
Google Docs, but in YOUR cloud!
 
Installing Server:
1. Open Package Center
2. Search for and Install "Office"
    -- It will automatically install PHP 7.0
 
Moments is like "Google Photos" but entirely on YOUR server (CLOUD Act...)
* Allows you to automatically upload your photos to your server
* Uses LOCAL Machine learning to categorize your images
